Hi! I am Barbara Brown. I hope you are all doing well today and everyday! I am reachibng out in an attempt to get to know as many of you as are willing to let me. My "thing" is repurposing. Repurposing is basically recycling with a kick! It excites me for several reasons. I can take an item that has been used and worn out to a degree and take it and fix it up and reuse it. Most of the time I fix things up and then someone else who needs it buys it and they use it. I have a gift of being able to look at something that is worn out and almost broken or even broken and be able to visualize that item being cleaned and repaired and visualizing what it looks like when that is done. I can visualize the amazing difference a little time, effort and love makes. It is quite rewarding for me. People are shocked when they see the before and after for items that I have repurposed! Repurposing usable things - acquire things that people are finished using. Cleaning them up. Selling them to people who need them for a fraction of the cost of new ones. That is what Un-Impoverished Inc. is doing. We do this to keep usable items out of landfills. We also do this to keep resources on planet Earth from being used more quickly than necessary. Further, we can save people money on necessities. That money can be used for education, raising children, or other necessities.
